Nexium belongs to a class of medications known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Nexium is used to treat the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) such as heartburn, acid regurgitation, and diarrhea. Nexium works by reducing the amount of stomach acid that your stomach makes and increasing the amount of acid in your gut. Nexium helps to relieve heartburn, acid regurgitation, and diarrhea.
Nexium stays in your system for up to 8 weeks. After you take it, your stomach absorbs the medication and passes it through your esophagus. Once you finish taking Nexium, it will take effect within 24 hours. However, you must take it for it to be effectual.
You must have a serious Esophagitis to use Nexium for the full duration of its use. This is a rare condition that can occur with just one dose of Nexium. The maximum daily dose of Nexium is 10 mg.

I have been on this medication for 6 months and I have gained 30 lbs. I lost a few pounds in the past and my doctor suggested I take it. I have tried the generic brands but I still haven't lost my appetite and I still have a few issues with my stomach. I have been having trouble tolerating the taste of the product. I am now taking the generic version of this medicine. I have also been taking Nexium for my heart issues and I cannot tolerate the taste of the product. I have been on this medicine for 4 months now and I still cannot take it. I was on it for about 4 months but when I got on it I felt fine. I am currently taking it for the first time. I would recommend this to anyone.
